For the environment
The goal is to promote sustainable consumption habits to increase demand for resource-saving products. This supports production in line with planetary boundaries and also reduces the environmental impact of food consumption.

Facts
The project was funded by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) as part of the International Climate Initiative (IKI).
The communication tool (prototype) has initially been developed for the following target regions and pilot partners: Thailand, Paraguay, South Africa and Germany.
WWF Germany fulfils the role of the Project Manager. Furthermore, corsus – corporate sustainability GmbH and TMG – Think Tank for Sustainability were involved in the realisation of the project.
The aim is to develop a communication tool (prototype) to visualise the environmental impact of food. This tool will provide consumers with transparent information about the environmental impact of food. Easy to understand, available at any time and scientifically sound.
In addition, companies can measure the environmental impact of their products and thus choose the best way to optimise their supply chains and offer a more sustainable range.
