To maintain global export demands for food such as soy and beef, their growing agricultural sector is turning more and more nature into farmland. The consequences are rising greenhouse gas emissions, excessive heat and drought, extreme precipitation and heavy rainfall. More sustainable alternatives for consumers have yet to be established. The project will inform them about the environmental impacts of food to enable more sustainable purchasing.
